Privacy Policy

Effective: August 12, 2026

This Policy describes how Trimlab Inc. ("Trimlab," "we," "us") handles personal information through trimlab.org and the Trimlab business service. The Service is offered to businesses in the United States. It is not intended for personal, family, or household use.

1. Our role, and who to contact

Trimlab plays two different roles, and which one applies determines who you should contact.

For account administration, website activity, billing, support, and security, we decide why and how information is used.

For the files, prompts, records, and other content a business customer uploads to its account, we act on that customer's instructions. We do not control that content, decide what it contains, or determine how it is used. If your information appears in a Trimlab customer's account, that customer is responsible for it — please contact them directly. We will assist them as our agreement with them requires.

2. Information we handle

  • Business contact information — such as name, work email, company, role, and account identifiers.
  • Customer content — files, documents, records, and prompts a business customer chooses to upload. This may contain personal information the customer decides to include.
  • Billing information — billing contact and subscription and payment status. Our payment processor collects and handles bank and payment details under its own terms; we do not receive or store them.
  • Technical information — such as IP address, device and browser data, timestamps, and activity logs generated when the Service is used.
  • Messages you send us — form submissions and support enquiries.

3. How we use it

  • To provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service, and to administer accounts.
  • To process customer content in order to produce the analyses a customer requests.
  • To bill customers and keep business and tax records.
  • To communicate about the Service, security, support, and legal terms.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with law.
  • To produce aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify any customer or individual.

4. AI features

The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate analyses. Prompts and excerpts of customer content may be sent to those providers to produce a result.

We use business and API accounts configured so that these providers do not use customer content to train their models. Providers may retain content for a limited period for service operation, safety, and abuse monitoring under their own terms.

We do not use customer content to train or improve machine-learning models, except a model that works only on a single customer's own data for that customer's own use.

5. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that supply hosting, storage, AI processing, payments, security, communications, and support, under appropriate terms.
  • A customer and its authorised users, in connection with that customer's account.
  • Authorities or others where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights and safety.
  • A buyer, investor, or adviser in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to confidentiality.
  • Anyone else at a customer's direction or with consent.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet our contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and secure our systems, and for longer where a legal hold or law requires it.

Retention and deletion commitments to our business customers are set out in their agreement with us.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of our business. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that the Service will be free from every incident.

Customers are responsible for their own devices, credentials, and user administration, and for deciding what they upload.

8. Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, or to stop sending you marketing messages. These rights depend on applicable law and may be subject to exceptions and identity verification. Write to privacy@trimlab.org.

If the information is held in a Trimlab customer's account, please contact that customer first — see section 1. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right the law gives you.

9. Children and restricted information

The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Customers must not upload children's information, or restricted categories such as Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, bank credentials, health information, biometric identifiers, or passwords and access keys, unless we have agreed in writing in advance. We may block, remove, or quarantine such content. Contact us if restricted information has been submitted.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage that are necessary to operate the site and the Service, such as keeping you signed in and keeping the Service secure. If we later introduce cookies for other purposes, we will update this Policy and provide any choices the law requires before doing so.

11. Changes and contact

The Service is currently offered in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States or elsewhere under their own terms.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the effective date above and give additional notice where the law requires it.
